Get Your Photography in the Next Issue of Picture Professional Magazine

December 16, 2011 § Leave a Comment

Comedian/writer/punk iconoclast Dave Salisbury, who’s incredibly funny diatribe on pretentious baristas “Hipster Coffeeshop Cover Letter” is in issue 2 of the magazine, alerted us that the American Society of Picture Professionals wants photographers for the next issue of their quarterly magazine. They’ve tasked him to  add contemporary content to the otherwise traditional publication, so if you have any of your work you want to see in print, send them an email to  editor@aspp.com.  You can read a couple of pages from previous issues here, as well as information on how to submit.

P.S. Buy a copy of issue 2, and read Dave’s piece. I couldn’t keep myself together the first time I read it.

Role Models – The theme for Issue 3

November 23, 2011 § 1 Comment

Role Models. Good ones, bad ones, unconventional ones.  Some are family members, others teachers, and sometimes they’re just the crazy friend who pushed you past your comfort zone.  Chances are you’ve probably had one or two or ten during your lifetime. For issue 3, we’re announcing “Role Models” as our [optional] theme – any submitted work falling into this category will get published in a special section dealing with the topic. So ask yourself: Who affected or forged your creative person the most? One you got that down, get cracking.

Cram Magazine

We are incredibly happy to finally announce the release of Cram Magazine, Volume 1 Issue 1. It’s been a long time coming, and we’ve learned a lot along the way, and we hope that you’ll get as much out of reading it as we have out of putting it together.

We’ve met some very talented creatives along our journey, and want to thank you all for sharing your craft with us. Our Staff and Contributors page has been updated to showcase the many wonderful people who helped us populate Cram with such brainy, artsy goodness.

Unfortunately, due to lack of financial backing, we will not be able to print the magazine this time around. However, it is available for viewing and download through Issuu. We would like to print Issue 2, and are currently working on fundraising to make that happen.

Thank you again for your creativity and support! Keep Cramming!
