The True Story of Rosie The Riveter
There is more to the iconic Norman Rockwell image, such as the fact that most people did not actually call her by that name. Also, on a cover of the Saturday Morning Post 1943 Memorial Day issue, he also illustrated an image of her standing on a copy of Mein Kampf.
The LA Times put together a series of photos of celebrations and parades for Labor Day. Along with the above float, there are images such as soldiers demonstrating their training.
